Regardless of what you’re going through in terms of mental health issues or substance use, DeLand Treatment Solutions offers the gold standard in care with our residential treatment solutions.
What is Residential Treatment?
Residential treatment is a program where individuals check into a dedicated facility for approximately thirty days to receive structured and intensive care for their substance use and mental health needs. Residential treatment involves comprehensive assessments, a variety of group therapies and counseling, medication management, and behavioral health education. Residential programs provide a safe, nurturing, and structured living space for individuals to dedicate their time and energy to their recovery.
Why is Residential Treatment the Gold Standard in Care?
Residential treatment is often referred to as the “gold standard of care” for mental health and addiction treatment for several reasons:
- Residential treatment provides individuals with 24-hour medical and emotional support, which is especially important for those with significant mental health issues.
- Residential treatment programs offer structured and intensive group therapy, individualized treatment plans, and a range of evidence-based therapies, which have been proven effective in treating substance use and mental health disorders.
- This form of care provides individuals with safety, security, and a peer support network in which to focus on their recovery goals without the distractions and triggers of outside influences.
- Finally, residential care plans often provide aftercare support and resources to help individuals maintain their sobriety and mental wellness long after they have completed the program. Together, these factors contribute to the high success rates and reputation of residential treatment as the “gold standard of care” for mental illness and substance use treatment.
What Happens After Leaving Residential Treatment?
Once a resident completes our residential treatment program, our team will help them determine the next steps after treatment. This usually means transitioning into a Partial Hospitalization Program, which may include moving to a sober living home. Once you’ve completed the program, we’ll support you in helping you make the best decision and provide you with alumni support options. You’ll still have a network of treatment professionals available for you even after you leave.
